I just finished doing 46 minutes on my mag trainer. Why now at a late hour when I would enjoy just sitting?
At some tour in the future I will be comfortable under a nice shade tree enjoying a light breeze and not want to move. After an appropriate rest, I can remember tonight and "OK, push on and go that last stretch."
As you prepare think about situations that you might confront and do something similar. It builds your confidence to feel like you have experienced that before.
This simulation helps to give the ride a purpose. I bet you can come up with some other ideas.
