a short day. Sometimes you need to take it easy

In 40 days of riding I have covered  827 miles.  The daily average of miles covered is a little over  20 .  I wanted to take it easier today.  It is good to let your body rest.  Those starting a tour should take easier  days and gradually build up to a comfortable amount that you can manage.  Rest days are good for you.  The amount  of ground that I have covered astounds me. I am almost to Oklahoma City.

This unique barn was built in 1898 and it is on the National Register of  Historic Places.  It now is a gift shop, entertainment and space rental.

Picture this as the land rush. Arcadia was formed after the first land rush of 1889.  It is estimated that there were  over 50,000 people rushing to claim land.  Over 2 million acres were available.
