The name comes for the limbs forming what looks like a chandelier. A laser measuring tool has certified that the tree is 276' tall. Luckily this practice of damaging these trees is past, but they still serve as a big attraction for tourists. California State Route 1 is one of the longest in the country. It runs for 656 miles from Leggett south to Dana Point near Los Angeles going along the Pacific coast. This photo makes the beach look trashy.
