desert-day 8-i am ready to get a change: Barstow, Johnstons corners, hodge, Helendale

 I appreciate the cooler temps and it is nice to see towns with people.   82 degrees, NE wind at 9 mph and that means a tailwind! The humidity 8%..  Gradual climb through the day  from 2175' to 2430'.

Another Harvey House. This fell into disrepair and the City took it over and now it serves as the Barstow Amtrak station.

The Mojave River in Helendale and the area is basically flat. Much residential development here. I have not seen that for a while.
