Can I ride my bike on an interstate highway?  Arizona  does allow to biking on the shoulder on some interstates when an alternative route is not available.  In some of the virtual photos you have seen interstate highways.  I do not mind riding on these.  My concern is the objects that may punctures your tires.  The cars and trucks always  give me a lane space.  The riding lights help me to be seen.

I love seeing the rock formations along the way.

Sanders and Allentown are Native American settlements, but like many town along the railroad they were named for train officials.

I live in a state surrounded by the Great Lakes.  We have over 10,000 lakes and ponds.  Many rivers and streams.  We are never more than 5 miles from one of those.

​In this part of the country we find intermittent streams  which rise up during gully washers.  Here are some bridges that were along this stretch.  These were built in the 1920s.

When these arroyos would fill with water, people may need to wait for up to 24 hours for the water to  recede.  Building a bridge made a lot of sense.
