I ride about 60% of the days. I do not do races, so what is my motivation? It is hard to get excited to ride some days. Here are somethings I do to keep the ride fresh.
Have a primary goal. The cycling helps my lungs and helps me to continue to be active in all aspects of life. Many get motivated by an event or a race. "You want to get onto shape." During the first nine months of riding I wanted to ready to cycle 50+ miles a day for 19 days. Now I have a very solid base of fitness and maintenance is not enough of a motivator.
Have fun during rides. Unless it is fun how long will you do it? Fun is different for everyone. You can explain what is fun to someone and it might seem boring to them. Don't worry what others think because you are the one trying to have fun. I did triathlons and that included many laps in the pool. When you swim you do not enjoy much scenery. When I was running I mapped out a two mile loop from my house. To see how I would feel about this loop doing it three to five times a week. I did this for a couple of years and I said, "I did that fine." Now I can remind myself that I survived that once and I can do it again.
Work on a skill. From your riding you will identify skills that you want to improve: uphill, downhill, getting your water bottles, using your mirror and get out of your pedals. You might look to improve riding in certain situations: gravel, dirt, sand, rough pavement, along parked cars, rain and at night. i am sure that you can add to the list.
