This was during one of the last rides before the colder temperatures. I took the back entrance into Bloomer Park following the Clinton River. I could not figure the reason for his demise. I had never seen a beaver this close. Impressive tail.
Picture
Can you see the buck? I just happened to stop to catch my breath, looked over and saw him. He looked up and saw me and kept grazing. It was hunting season and he was safe in the park.
Picture
You can see I zoomed in on this. Do you blame me? I did not want to take a chances.
Picture
Canadian geese are the most common wildlife seen on rides.
Picture
The ride to Cabela's was cheating, but I loved their big display of a wide array of animals across North America.
Picture
A fall came I saw several snakes on the sunny days enjoying the heat of the trail surface.
Picture
The trail pavement felt warm to this turtle.
Picture
I thought these were alpaca and that was confirmed as I checked later. They are found in South America. The wool is woven.
Picture
What are these? They look like a crane, but they are in a field. A nice pond is next door. They kept walking from me, so I had to zoom in.
Picture
Mama and the ducklings. This was right in our yard. They look so cute marching in a group.
Picture
When I came home from the ride I found visitors in the yard. They are so comfortable in our wooded areas and easily come into the neighboring yards.
Picture
This little turtle was on the trail. At first I thought is was a leaf. Only about 1-2" across.
Picture
As I was on the Clinton River Trail coming into Rochester, I heard this large squawking. I saw these nests perched on tall trees in the middle of the swamp. I think they are egrets.
Picture
I guarded this one while crossing the trail. Many people were out on a nice sunny Sunday.
Picture
Going down the road in Pittsfield Township I spotted the horse in the field and as I stopped to take a photo, I saw a llama too.
Picture
Looking at Stony Creek Lake as I bike the path I saw swans.
